As the title says, I’m the Man from Bath, and I’m the voice behind this blog. Whether you’re here for the first time or you’ve been following along for a while, welcome. This space is where I lay it all out—my passions, experiences, musings, and feelings—sprinkled with a few throwbacks to my time in Afghanistan. It’s my way of sharing the moments that have shaped me, and I’m genuinely excited to have you here.
Ibiza
Writing has always been a constant in my life. From my 20s, traveling abroad, through my early 30s, and now at 35, journaling has been my outlet, my therapy, and my way of making sense of the world. I’ve written about everything—my thoughts, feelings, adventures, love, loss, even the mood I woke up in on a random Tuesday. People around me were always curious about what I was jotting down, and over time, I realized I wanted to create a space to share those stories. So here I am, hoping to connect with others and maybe even inspire someone to see things a little differently.
The idea for this blog came to life on 18 August, 2024, during one of those unforgettable moments. I was on a boat in Ibiza, bobbing along the water with my brother and a friend hosting us on the island. We reminisced about the past, about writing, and the stories I’d never told—especially those from my time in Afghanistan. My friend shared his own blog, and something just clicked. Why not create a space to share my journey? The seed was planted, and now here we are.

For me, this blog isn’t about likes, followers, or monetization. It’s about the joy of writing—something pure, something real. It’s a way to step back from the constant noise of social media and get back to the basics: sharing stories and reading something meaningful. This little corner of the internet is where I hope to offer inspiration, a new perspective, or even just a smile to someone scrolling through their day.
